Fujitec Hydraulic Elevator (Southbound Platform) at TTC St. Clair Subway Station, Toronto ON

Описание к видео Fujitec Hydraulic Elevator (Southbound Platform) at TTC St. Clair Subway Station, Toronto ON

(Filmed on September 24, 2024). This is the southbound platform elevator that serves the concourse level for the buses and the streetcars for the upper level exit at TTC St. Clair Subway Station here in Midtown Toronto ON. This station opened in 1954 as the original part of the Yonge Street subway so this elevator is not original to the station. This is a late 2000s Fujitec Hydraulic Elevator with Dewhurst US85 fixtures and the vertical analog floor indicators. Interesting how they place two stars for the first and second floor and reason being is since there are two exits. It does have a dry powered motor and runs very well. The northbound platform elevator only serves up to the concourse which I didn’t film. This elevator does provide more accessibility so people in wheelchairs on the northbound platform have to take two elevators in order to access the streetcar level at this station.
