Greg Poling testified in front of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission that it is critical that the United States remains committed to protecting its regional allies and influence against the PRC. He recommended continued funding to modernize the Philippines Armed Forces, U.S. recognition of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and the adoption of a reporting requirement on unsafe air-to-air intercepts between U.S. and Chinese military aircraft in the next National Defense Authorization Act.
