INTRODUCING you to the actors behind three of the characters in ‘The Good Karma Hospital’ which is currently screening on ITV in the UK.
This is now the fourth series of this popular TV drama that screens on Sunday evenings in the UK and started last week (January 23). There are six 60 min schedule shows in this run.
This is a drama based around a fictional cottage hospital in Kerala, India but is actually shot on location in Sri Lanka, which it must be said looks remarkably similar to parts of actual Kerala.
This hospital was originally created by Dr Ram Nair - played by Darshan Jariwalla whom we speak to in this - and Dr Lydia Fonseca played by the very well-known actor, Amanda Redman.
In this video we also talk to Harki Bhambra, who plays the new British Asian doctor Dr Samir Hasan and Nimmi Harasgama who essays the role of Nurse Mari Rodriquez.
They tell us who these characters are and about how similar they are or not to their own personalities, personal storylines in this series (possible romances?), shooting under covid conditions in Sri Lanka in the Autumn of last year and about the wider implications of a prime time UK drama that has both significant brown and white characters in it.
