Computer desks can often be a mess but with the BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading Lamp, you can create a clean minimalistic workspace that you can be proud to show off! The BenQ ScreenBar is a slim LED light bar that attaches to the top of computer monitors and gives you light without taking up any desk space.

The BenQ ScreenBar lamp attaches to monitors using a clamp and counter-weight. It’s fairly heavy and the spring-loaded hinge accommodates a wide range of monitors including curved screens. The ScreenBar is has four buttons on top and the underside is lined with LEDs along a reflector to help increase light output. And on the back there’s a micro USB port for power.

The ScreenBar measures seventeen and three-quarters inches long and it easily rests on the top edge of any LCD monitor with the counter-weight completely hidden from view which helps with the minimalistic look. On the front, there’s a quarter-inch tab that holds onto the lamp in place. With the ScreenBar, you can get rid of any table lamps you were using for a clean looking work space. I definitely know that I can always use more desk space and this LED lamp helps free up my work area.

The buttons on top are touch sensitive and a light finger tap is all that’s needed to turn it on. There’s also a light sensor for automatic brightness levels depending on the ambient light in your room. And depending on your preference, you can switch the light temperature from warm to cool. Brightness levels can also be adjusted using the touch button on top. One thing I really like is that the light stays off my monitor so there’s no glare on the screen.

So if you’re looking to build a clean, minimalistic work area that’s uncluttered, give the BenQ ScreenBar a try. I have mine powered off a USB port on the back of my monitor but you might need a USB extension cord depending on where your computer is placed. You can also use a USB battery pack as well. If you’re in a dorm room or have a gaming set up, this would a great lamp to have!
