People often ask me questions about how to eat healthier. I know what feels good for my body and what works for me, but I don't have any training or special expertise when it comes to food or nutrition, so I decided to do a little investigating for y'all!!

First, I discovered which grocery items are purchased the most in the United States, and tried to buy them as healthy as possible. Then I sought out the help of an expert to tell me if I succeeded at all and to teach us a thing or two about how we can be better at taking care of our bodies.

- Try to aim for 80% clean choices
- Taking out natural fat content generally means adding in preservatives
- Yellow cheese has food additives! Opt for white cheese instead.
- Shop around the outside of the grocery store where the living, perishable food is. The center aisles are dead food!
- Sugar is in so much of our food, and the labels can be very deceptive. Read carefully!
- Eating a SAD, CRAPPY diet can lead to Leaky Gut Syndrome and inflammation in the body.
- Wherever you're at with your health right now, just start by making small swaps in your daily life. If you're at 40% clean choices, aim for 50%, then 60%, and so on. Those small changes are cumulative and if you keep making them, you will see the difference!
