This might be basic info for you, depending on where you are in your journey, but when I learned about presuming positive intent, it helped me with my mindset.Never think that a student is coming from a negative place with their behavior, but instead that they are doing the best they can.

Also, I had this student before my own boys started school. Becoming a parent of two boys and then having them start school has been a full-on eye opener for me. Spoiler alert: school is hard for boys. Anyway, I can't wait to hear what you think about it!
