'Why didn't you answer…': Vance again deflects question on Trump's 2020 presidential election loss

Former president Donald Trump's presidential running mate JD Vance on Wednesday (October 2) returned to the campaign trail, a day after squaring off with Democratic rival Tim Walz on the debate stage in New York. Telling a crowd at a Michigan rally he thought the debate "went pretty well", Vance added that he "felt a little sorry for Governor Walz, because he has to defend the indefensible. And that is the record of Kamala Harris." At the debate, Vance deflected a question from Walz on whether he believed Trump had lost the 2020 election, and he did so again Wednesday when asked by a reporter why he had not answered Walz's question.
