Shiverspine was a Post Hardcore band formed in April 2000 in Belfort by Arnaud Guay, Stéphane Rigoulot, Yannick Derrien & Anthony Lopez, they were influenced by bands such as Deftones, Tool, Breach and Chokebore.
The band began to play gigs only 2 months after its formation and they recorded their first demo "Existenz" in November 2000 with Fred Reiss.
This demo features 8 songs (even if only 5 of them are listed on the back), 8 songs that shows a young band which plays for pleasure and with already great ideas.
The production isn't perfect but I have to admit that the drums and the bass sounds are quite good !
This was the beginning of Shiverspine, probably the first Post Hardcore band from Belfort and maybe from Franche-Comté.
