Professor Jean-Paul Biberian is an engineer and scientist who has worked for many years in France and the United States on the physico-chemical properties of the surfaces of metals and semiconductors. In 1977 he was shortlisted for the choice of the first European astronaut. Jean-Paul also founded the company Luminy-Instruments which develops surface analysis instrumentation. It was during this period that he filed three patents, two of which were on micro-tip flat screens.

Since 1993, he has been a researcher in S-SAFE and biological transmutations, and in 2004 he organized the ICCF in Marseilles, where 170 researchers from 20 countries took part. He has also been a regular host of the scientific café at 19 Place Gouffé in Marseille since 2001.
