I said that this week I was gonna tell you guys more about work energy, but uh, I haven't really gotten much of a chance to read more of it! Busy with school and YouTube ya know? But this week I want to talk about why I'm switching names and my branding. SO - I don't like the name miggy wiggy in particular simply because I think it sounds too silly, somewhat childish, and it may misrepresent my branding a bit. Also, if this YouTube thing works out, I don't want to be known as Miggy Wiggy my whole life, I would want to be known as my name. Rarely do comedians go by some sort of nickname, it's just there name. So yeah. That's why I made the decision. I'm also going through rethinking this channel in a way as to what exactly I want to do and what value exactly I want to provide, and I think it's more wholesome comedy. So my value really isn't changing like at all. I also felt a bit as if I wasn't being my true self in some of my older videos. It felt more manufactured, and I honestly didn't believe in the message as much. I'm settling in on what exactly I want to do though, and it feels right and good. I talked last week about 30 days to a better YouTube channel, that course I've been taking, and one of the things that it teaches is that you need to have a clear value and why you're providing that value. I'm slowly starting to figure that out as a comedian in general and what I want to do for this channel. I will also begin to post on IG TV and Facebook because it's just extra engagement. I mean, sign me up, right? I really want to focus on YouTube though just because it's my favorite social media platform out of all the social media platforms. I'm gonna start improving the overall quality of my videos too. Man, I gotta tell you I'm excited for what this will become and the opportunities it will give me. I will hopefully talk about work energy next week. See you then!
