Leaving Las Vegas for Hollywood | Road Trip to Magic Castle Hotel 🚗🌴✨

After one final hurrah at Carlos & Charlie’s last night, we hit the road — saying goodbye to Las Vegas and heading west to Hollywood, Los Angeles!

A quick pit stop at the Valley Wells Rest Area proves more eventful than expected 🤣 before we roll into Baker, California, home of the famous Mad Greek Café, for some delicious homemade Greek food. From there, it’s a smooth drive — until the dreaded Friday afternoon traffic on the 101 Freeway, where 20 miles takes 50 minutes in true L.A. style!

Eventually, we reach our home away from home — the iconic MagicCastle Hotel Hollywood. We’ve stayed here many times over the years, but this is our first visit without the kids, and it’s just as warm, welcoming, and full of charm as ever. A beautiful suite with a balcony and chilled champagne makes for the perfect Hollywood welcome.

We wrap up the day with a short walk to Hollywood Boulevard for dinner at Pink Pepper Thai, one of our long-time favourites, before relaxing back at the hotel with a nightcap and some live AFL on TV.
