The Ballot Statement of Re-elect Councilwoman Ruth Low

It has been a privilege to serve as your Councilwoman and Mayor, in 2018. Although we have accomplished much during these past five years, the job is never done and there is still more that I would like to do. I am asking your support to continue serving you, ALL of the vibrant, diverse community members of Diamond Bar, on our City Council.

In just five years, we have accomplished the following:
· Won the fight for Tres Hermanos Ranch, protecting 2,450 acres of open space.
· Completed freeway on-ramps/off-ramps at Grand Avenue and Lemon Avenue.
· Public safety: Ring Subsidy program, reduced crime rate, increased Neighborhood & Business Watch programs.
· Support local business: COVID Recovery Program.

My continued goals and values:
· Public safety & emergency preparedness.
· Fiscal responsibility & transparency in government.
· Complete the 57/60 Freeway Fix.
· Environmental conservation & sustainability.
· Business development.
· Youth community engagement.

Community:
· 25 years – DB resident with family. Both my sons attended Diamond Bar schools, one son is a public defender and the other is a physician.
· 25 years - Deputy District Attorney/Prosecutor/Attorney
· 20 years – Friends of the Library
· Four years - Planning Commission
· Four years – Parks/Recreation Commission
· DB Women’s Club
