After 25 years of featuring invited special musical guests at his Monday night residency at Donn’s Depot in Austin, Texas, Chris Gage was determined to find a way to pivot into the pandemic. Using a video screen on a grand piano he created the illusion of a live jam by playing and singing live with the artists’ videos. Wife / Partner / Co-host Christine Albert runs a sophisticated video switcher and sings harmony.

Butch Morgan is a south Texas legend. He’s had steady weekly shows in San Antonio for many years and is welcome addition to any Texas festival stage as an artist or accompanist. He and Robert “Robar” Adams put on a lively show complete with squeaky toys. They made a wonderful album at MoonHouse Studio with Chris Gage producing.
