http://www.homeinspectioncarolina.com we were inspecting a house in Mooresville NC and very cold March morning. It was still on the ground and it was chilly. Most inspectors hate going in the crawlspace including myself especially on a cold day like this one. When I open the crawlspace door door I was pleasantly surprised. It was warm and toasty in there. As I did my inspection I noticed that there was a duct that was cut into. This duck was pumping warm air ride into the crawlspace. It was good for me but bad for the homeowner. The homeowner mentioned that their heating bills have been rather high. I told him that you have been heating some extra square footage in the crawlspace.
