When was the last time you conversed with a friend without having a reference of the current political scenario of your nation?
When was the last time you asked your fellow classmates, your colleagues, or even your neighbours about their holiday plans? Instead of asking them which protest sit-ins or rallies they were joining?
This country, as it's witnessing another fight to restore the constitutional, democratic rights - the citizens have found themselves out on the streets; standing firm together, against the discriminatory acts (like CAA, NRC and NPR) of the Fascist Government.
Shaheen Bagh has seen rock solid women taking their stance for more than 50 days now. They've defied raging cold, bullets of a Hindutvavadi Terrorist, even the death of a year-old toddler.
Jamia has seen home ministry sponsored violence, lathicharge by the police inside their campus and their deafening silent act when a mere boy before them has shot one of the students outside the university, in a peaceful protest march.
As the students all around the nation, and the common people as well, have taken it upon them to fight for the Freedom 2.0 Movement, as they call it - this country has witnessed lynching, oppression and all sorts of atrocities sponsored by the very state.
And still - they've denied to quit it.
Not an inch back.
They've and they still are standing firm and fighting as strongly as they belong to the ground.
The 620 km long human chain in Kerala has advocated for the unity this country, the citizens of this country root for.
The continued demonstration in Park Circus despite of having a woman martyr, vouches for the unity in diversity this secular nation represents.
The faces carrying Ambedkar's photo and book of constitution in rallies, the voices that echo in slogans that speak of an undivided, democratic India - that's the dissent we dare to raise.
We Inna Hindustan is the dissent we sing along - against all these atrocities, against this Government-sponsored Fascism.
