How to Store Dahlia Tubers / Digging / Storing and Checking For Mould and Leafy Gall Disease

This video includes how to dig dahlia tubers, how to check for Leafy Gall and how we store them. Also, how to check your stored tubers for mould and shrivelling.

We dig our dahlias because we have heavy clay soil and usually a substantial rainfall during the winter months. We store our dahlias surrounded by sawdust (wood shavings) in ventilated crates in the garage. In this video I show you in detail how I deal with mouldy tubers during storage and what to look out for.
