Update 61 Patch Notes
Things are starting to cool down outside, and we're just getting warmed up. Our next update will be the biggest of the year, adding in a heap of new things: a new element, a new event, a new storyline with new characters, a new body type... (and, breathe)... a new habitat, and, of course, all-new dragons to collect in the coming weeks!
We'll be releasing the Tyrant update next week! Here's what's being added...
The Lost Tyrants
This new event will be replacing Divine Events and will be where the unfolding saga of Dragolandia will primarily take place for the time being. Through this event, we'll be introducing our two new characters, Paola and Portia, as they join our cast of Dragon Trainers and Vikings in search of the lost Tyrant Dragons.
The first of these four-week long events will start in December and take place in the wintry North, as part of a search for the first of the lost Tyrants. We'll share more information about the new setup of the Lost Tyrants event in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that. However, the main thing to remember is that the Lost Tyrants event will come with an all-new event type...
Dragon Grid
We couldn't introduce an all-new storyline event without something new to play with. The Dragon Grid will be the main gameplay element, through which players can collect Tyrant Tickets, unravel the Lost Tyrants storyline and earn extra rewards.
We'll be sharing some more details about this new event in the upcoming event timeline.
The Simian Body Type
At the start of the year, we added the Trampler body type to the game. But, before that, we were conceiving a number of potential new body types to introduce into the game. As a result of that conceptual process, we decided to create a body type themed around gorillas and give these dragons a mighty look, thanks to their powerful forearms and strong primate appearance. We already have a few of these new Simian body types ready to be released and added to the game.
The Armored Phasm Tyrant Dragon is one of these new Simian body types, so you'll be able to get your hands on one of these as early as December!
The Tyrant Element
We've revealed everything there is to know about the new Tyrant Element in a video, and we'll be adding everything associated with the new element to the game with this update.
A New Winter Habitat
The Tyrants will be coming with their own Habitats, but we'll also be introducing the new Snowbound Habitat to bring a wintrier feel to your Dragolandian islands.
