Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 26: Dynamite Deka (PS2) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Sega's 2006 3D beat 'em up for the Sony PlayStation 2, Sega Ages Series Vol. 26: Dynamite Deka (SEGA AGES 2500シリーズ Vol.26 ダイナマイト刑事). Originally called "Die Hard Arcade" for its US arcade (1996) and Sega Saturn (1997) releases.

The 2500 series, Sega's PS2-era line of budget remakes and ports, tended to be a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes things didn't work out so well, but they nailed this update to the classic 3D beat 'em up. It plays exactly like the original, but it received a pretty thorough and well-done face-lift. The texture work has been dramatically improved and it does wonders for updating the already solid core game. Add to that a ton of bonus features (some of which are shown at the end of the video), and you have an awesome version of the great, sadly overlooked and sometimes unfairly maligned, Sega arcade classic. It's not quite 3D Streets of Rage, but it's as close to it as anyone has ever come.

For a $25 budget game, that's a whole lot more than you'd probably ever expect! Too bad it never got published outside of Japan, but luckily for us, it's 99% in English anyway!
