The Boss RE-202 Space Echo // featuring Frank Brothers Ultra Light // Guitar Pedal Demo

Let's jump into the Boss RE-202 Space Echo guitar pedal demo!

‪@BOSSinfoglobal‬ released two new versions of the Space Echo recently, and you'd be forgiven for looking (and lusting) directly at the larger of the two models, the RE-202 initially. I looked at the smaller of the two models here, one video with the preamp on and one disengaged:

Today, we are looking at the larger brother of the RE-2, the RE-202 which features expanded controls on the face of the pedal, and a larger footprint. You get control of the EQ of the repearts, the reverb mix, the deco mix, feedback and repeat rate, tap tempo, tape emulation style, wow and flutter, and tape saturation - plus 4 onboard presets and a manual mode. This is the big strength of going for this model over the smaller RE-2. The sounds are generally very comparable, however this pedal you can get a bigger range of preamp emulation and drive due to the dedicated knob for Saturation.

In this demo, I am featuring the RE-2 with my ‪@FrankBrothersGuitarCo‬ Ultra Light with ‪@LollarPickups‬ El Rayo Humbuckers in neck and bridge and ‪@LollarPickups‬ Firebird in the middle on a blender pot, outfitted with a Bigsby trem, into my ‪@BensonAmps‬ with 2x12 cab. I am using the ‪@BOSSinfoglobal‬ Waza Tube Amp Expander just to slightly take the edge off the very loud Benson Monarch 15W head, and I have the cabinet mic'd with Royer r121 and SM57 on the front grille, and an R10 on the room. All of that is run through a ‪@UniversalAudio‬ Apollo x4 and mixed in ‪@Ableton‬ Live 11.
