At the end of October, I went to Lake Chuzenji on a day trip from Tokyo.
It takes less than 2 hours through the Tohoku Expressway. There was heavy traffic on Irohazaka (up), but the autumn leaves were very beautiful. I walked along the shore of Lake Chuzenji.

Lake Chuzenji is a lake located in Nikko National Park in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. It is the 25th largest lake in Japan. It is a lake at the highest altitude in Japan. It is also the largest lake in Tochigi prefecture. One lap is about 25km, and it takes about 9 hours to walk.
