The event happened in Delhi, and while I’ve done a few like this before, this one felt different. Usually, it’s panel discussions or Q&As where we sit and talk, but this time it was a monologue and that shifted something in me.

I got to explore a topic close to my heart, and the more I wrote, read, and practiced it, the more personal it became. It brought up memories of a time when I was in love, when I could really feel that emotion. But it also made me realise how much has changed. Since then especially after the last person I was with…I chose to stay single. And to be honest, I don’t think I’ve felt love the same way again.

It gets harder to open up, to try again. I don’t want to settle. Every time I’ve forced myself to try, it’s only led to discomfort and unhappiness.

But I wanted to document this. Because when I look back, these moments remind me of my growth, my journey. This piece is a little glimpse of the heart I once had and maybe, just maybe, it’ll feel that way again someday.
