I wrote this letter to you from the cold soil of the alleys, With my red blood, so that smiles may grow from pain. When the next day comes, my soul will be the life of the meadows, The eternal sun of freedom is the light of our sky.

I swear by the blood of my comrades, by the tears of mothers, Our eternal cry shall never die by their blade.

We are the flood of the December blood, entwined with injustice, Our only sin was a roar of rage in response to malice. My defenseless body and soul are targets for the tyrants' arrows, Yet I am proud and upright, boasting of our revolution.

I swear by the lovers of Iran, by the passion of the righteous, I will not turn back from this path until the day the occupiers depart. I swear by the blood of my comrades, by the tears of mothers, Our eternal cry shall never die by their blade: Long Live the Shah.
