Hey friends! If you’re looking for a short, easy hike in the North Georgia mountains with a big, rewarding waterfall view, this video is for you!

Join us as we explore Helton Creek Falls near Vogel State Park in Blairsville, GA, one of the most beautiful and accessible waterfalls in North Georgia. 🥾🌄

The Helton Creek Falls trail is only about ¼ mile one way (½ mile round trip), making it perfect for families, beginners, or anyone wanting a quick outdoor adventure. This scenic hike leads to an 80-foot waterfall and swimming hole tucked away in the Appalachian foothills.

🚗 How to Get to Helton Creek Falls:
To reach the trailhead, drive to Blairsville, Georgia, and head south on Highway 19/129. Near the entrance to Vogel State Park, turn onto Helton Creek Road. This narrow, winding forest road takes you about 2.2 miles to the Helton Creek Falls parking area. Be prepared to pull over for oncoming vehicles and take it slow.

🥾 What to Expect on the Trail:
From the parking lot, the trail descends to the lower 30-foot waterfall, a popular swimming spot during warmer months ☀️💦. Continue along the path to reach wooden viewing platforms overlooking the upper 50-foot waterfall. The trail is very easy overall, but it can be slippery at times, so watch your step. Please note: this trail is not wheelchair or walker accessible.
