Dunster House - Rhine Log Cabin Build and Use

Описание к видео Dunster House - Rhine Log Cabin Build and Use

This video covers the build process for the Dunster House 4m x 3m Rhine log cabin. I added 30mm of insulation to the roof and floor.

Thanks to Cablesmith Electrical for his excellent video on Summer House Wiring, which I used to design and first fix for my electrics.    • How We Wire A Summer House | Garden R...
The final fix and testing were carried out by a qualified electrician (Thanks Josh).

The waterproof membrane between the roof boards and the insulation may not be strictly necessary but it didn't add much to the overall cost.

We now have a very comfortable multi-media log cabin to relax and entertain friends in.

The total build cost excluding my labour was under £3,500.

The interior and exterior have been treated with clear wood preserver. We intended to use a light brown stain but quickly discovered it was too dark and knowing how pine mellows and darkens over time we think clear is a good choice.
