5 Face Proportions that Solved Portrait Drawing for me

Описание к видео 5 Face Proportions that Solved Portrait Drawing for me

When I got back to drawing two years ago, my portrait drawings lacked structure, and getting them to look somewhat believable was a long and frustrating process that was far from reliable.

Recently, I have been practicing a lot and just studying different approaches to drawing the human head such as the Loomis Method and the Reilly Abstraction to improve my understanding of facial structure, and in this video, I condense 5 of my favorite face proportions that have simplified portrait drawing a whole lot.

Chapters
00:00 Intro
00:40 Eye level = 1/2 of the Head Height
02:27 Thirds of the Face
04:41 Width of the Nose = Gap between the Eyes = Eye Width
05:45 Thirds of the Mouth
06:32 The Triangle

By the way, this happens to be my first video on Youtube and I would love to hear your feedback so I can improve my next video! And please do consider liking this video and subscribing to my channel so the algorithm gods are kind to me!

Oh, and I also happen to have a tiny art blog that would might wanna check for more information about face proportions and other cool stuff I share about drawing at https://bingedrawing.com/.
