The 172nd video of my train spotting adventures.
-----
This video takes us on a local trip to one of two grand University cities of Britain, that being Oxford. A fair sized 4 platform station (plus 2 passing lines), Oxford plays host to numerous Chiltern & GWR services to/from London and beyond, as well as Cross Country services from Southampton or Manchester (etc). Also featured are numerous freight services to/from Southampton/etc.
-
This video may be a special case, as it's not long as of posting this until Oxford begins to undergo a massive redevelopment scheme. Extra platforms, new/updated station entrances, expanded tracks, modernisation and etc are all planned within the next 3-4 years. Along with this is the new East-West Rail services, which will one day bridge Oxford and Cambridge after over 50 years of rail separation.
