Hatsune Miku Expo 2024 (Los Angeles)

6 years later and 4 years overdue, Hatsune Miku is back and on her North American Tour (Canada, U.S.A., & Mexico). Things would of been exciting for her return, right? Well...not exactly! She moves her performances from the familiar Peacock Theater (formerly Microsoft Theater and Nokia Theater respectively) to the famous Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. While most of us had fun before and after the concert, we are still have the lingering feeling of disappointment in part of no hologram performance. This could be summed up with "powered by Crunchyroll" makes this current tour bumpy. If you look up with this tour months or years later, you'll know why. Though hate to say this, but perhaps the LA concert may not suffered too much of the "curse" as we were able to get more than expected penlights that the previous (and sadly later) locations were given the infamous "95" (a reference to 95 penlights in a box....and that's it).

I should add that this concert is also my first time doing VIP (not originally my first choice). But decided to go on with the experience (I paid $165 for orchestra floor seating). This might be considered expensive to some (and yet it is) but personally this is nothing when compared to weekend or 4-day badges to anime conventions here in California!

To also celebrate her Miku Expo 10 year anniversary, outside merch and pop-up stores were being held in Animate and The Glass House. Unfortunately, I didn't include Coachella where she also debuted, attended this tour's two Digital Stars, or even check out buses in Little Tokyo promoting a pop-up store Furyu on the Miku dolls.
