On 30 September, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute was pleased to host a panel discussion examining how the Quad can evolve and expand to strengthen resilience in the Indo-Pacific.

Moderated by ASPI’s Executive Director Justin Bassi, the panel brought together H.E. Suzuki Kazuhiro, Ambassador of Japan to Australia, Dr Lavina Lee, Director of the Foreign Policy and Defence Program at the United States Studies Centre, Dr Raji Rajagopalan, Resident Senior Fellow at ASPI and Dr Arzan Tarapore, Research Scholar at Stanford University.

Panellists explored how the Quad might deepen cooperation across areas such as economic prosperity, capacity building, infrastructure investment and countering security and military threats. They also addressed how the Quad can adapt amid shifting US priorities, internal dynamics among member states and evolving regional challenges, while reinforcing its credibility as a force for stability in the Indo‑Pacific.
