Good afternoon, everybody! I’m finally off my sick bed and just finished my first run of the week—it feels good to be back! Thank you to everyone who sent well-wishes; that con crud really threw me off. Now I’ve got two 5Ks lined up for this week, so it’s time to get back into the groove.
Getting out of a routine after being sick can be tough, and I’m having to rebuild my flow. That got me thinking about today’s AI use case: Call Coaching.
𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐀𝐈 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞: 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
If you’re like me, your calendar looks like a game of Jenga, with meetings stacked all over the place. Here’s where Copilot already helps: it can scan my calendar and find open time slots—saving me from the hassle of figuring out what's tentative and what's accepted.
But the real value comes from using call transcripts as a data source for coaching and continuous improvement. With communication patterns changing since the pandemic, call coaching is more important than ever.
💡 How to Use AI for Call Coaching:
1️⃣ 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐳𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐬:
Take the raw transcript (not just call notes) and have Copilot or another AI tool analyze it. This helps uncover insights such as:
Did I use too many filler words?
Did I sound knowledgeable and articulate?
Was I talking about the right products or technologies?
2️⃣ 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬:
AI can help detect sentiment shifts—did the conversation get tense or remain calm? While transcripts don’t capture tone perfectly, patterns in the words used (like sarcasm) can reveal a lot.
