Witchfire is an upcoming first-person shooter video game by The Astronauts, authors of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
According to the declarations of the founder Adrian Chmielarz, who in the past also led Metropolis Software and People Can Fly, the team has let himself be inspired by the grandiose artistic and commercial successes of Returnal and Hades, and above all the Supergiant Games work seems to have characterized the skeleton of a playful sector that makes the medium continuously for a minimum but constant improvement.

The Astronouts has decided to abandon the Arena -style combat and re -elaborate it in a solution that is given to the Open World genre. Creative director Adrian Chmielarz said in a blog post that change will make Witchfire a "better" game.

Witchfire is expected in 2023 on PC via Epic Games Store in the Early Access phase, but the Dark Fantasy Shooter is destined to be released also on consoles.
