Kenya has been urged to put in place measures to restore wetlands across the country. The Nile Basin Initiative says that restoring the wetlands across the country will aid in mitigating natural disasters such as floods and drought which have become more prevalent in the Nile River Basin negatively affecting communities economically, physically and environmentally.
