Ford GT40 1965 Ken Miles, practice car. Cold Start!

Today was a special treat! We are here at the famous Owls Head Museum, Midcoast Maine.

The owner of this beautiful 1965 Ford GT40 with a 289CI V8 decided to start it up and take a victory lap! This is the real thing, no replicas in this video; and what an absolute treat. This is the car Caroll Shelby and Ken Miles used to practice and develop; before shoehorning in the famous Le Mans winning 1966 427CI V8 GT40. Ford holds the longest win streak in Le Mans history! 66', 67', 68', 69'. If you do not know the history of this amazing work of art; look up the movie Ford vs. Ferrari.
