Описание к видео UNESCO Honors Bhagavad Gita! But Should We Truly Feel Proud??? (Hindi) | ITW

On 18th April 2025, World Heritage Day, UNESCO made a landmark announcement: Bhagavad Gita and Natyashastra are now part of the Memory of the World Register. While many across India and the globe are celebrating this recognition, this video takes a deeper look — are we genuinely proud of our heritage, or are we still seeking white man’s approval to validate Indian culture and Hindu manuscripts?

In this episode of Indian Treasury of Wisdom, Rajesh questions our celebratory response and reflects on how deeply we actually engage with texts like the Gita and Natyashastra. This is not just about UNESCO honours Gita — it's about our lost connection with Hindu scriptures, our deep-rooted colonial mindset, and our need for global recognition to feel validated about our own legacy.

We explore:
Why Bhagawad Gita and Natyashastra added so late in 2025 and not earlier?
How many UNESCO Indian manuscripts are actually recognized out of the 5 million ancient texts still surviving in India?
Why India — with its unmatched knowledge of philosophy, science, and art — doesn’t need approval from UNESCO India to feel proud.
How Bhagavad Gita UNESCO news reveals our confused priorities and limited understanding of our own Hindu heritage.

The Bhagwad Gita, a timeless scripture spoken by Lord Krishna, is not just a religious book — it’s a universal guide for life, spirituality, and inner wisdom. Similarly, Natyashastra, written by Bharat Muni, is more than a text on performing arts — it's a spiritual science, earning the title of Pancham Veda. Today, both stand among the most valuable cultural treasures — yet they are unknown to most modern Indians until the UNESCO Gita recognition brought them into the limelight.

Despite having 43 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and now Bhagavad Gita in the Memory of the World, why does it take foreign acknowledgement for us to acknowledge our past? From Ajanta caves to 56 musical pillars, from Panchtantra to Ramcharitmanas, India's manuscripts are not just texts — they are civilizational codes.

This video is not just commentary — it’s a call to action. Let us not wait for more UNESCO Indian manuscripts to be globally endorsed. Let us become their torchbearers, their readers, their custodians. Because the Indian Treasury of Wisdom does not require a seal — it requires awareness.
