Here are some examples of foramina and the structures that pass through them:

Jugular foramina
Located at the base of the skull, these foramina allow the internal jugular veins to drain blood from the brain and intracranial tissues, as well as cranial nerves IX, X, and XI. Cranial nerve IX, also known as the glossopharyngeal nerve, enables swallowing, salivation, taste, and general sensation in the oral cavity.
Foramen lacerum
An irregular opening in the middle cranial fossa at the base of the skull that allows blood vessels and nerves to pass between the head and body
Superior orbital fissure (SOF)
Located at the back of the eye socket, the SOF carries sensory information from the forehead and parts of the face near the eyes
Foramen rotundum
Transmits the maxillary division of the trigeminal nerve [V2]
