Henrik Linder tearing it up over Giant Steps (and the craziest frets ever!)

A few weeks ago we hosted a live masterclass in London and were lucky enough to have Henrik Linder of Dirty Loops there (as well as Bobby Vega, Gary Willis and Rich Brown)...

As you'd expect, the weekend was AWESOME!

For me, one the of the highlights of the weekend was watching Henrik Linder (of the band Dirty Loops) doing a completely impromptu performance of the song [Giant Steps]...

One of the audience shouted out "play Giant Steps"... and Henrik and his keys player launched straight into it (without any prior conversation).

(Side note: if you haven't heard of Giant Steps before - it's an incredibly hard chord sequence to solo over, and was originally composed by the legendary saxophone player, John Coltrane.)

I loved this performance so much that I wanted to share it with you today...

And wait till you check out the fret's on Henrik's bass!

Seriously... you're eyes aren't deceiving you, lol...

They are called "True Temperament" frets - and look crazy (you'll see them straight away in this video)
