In this informative speech, Najwa Nur Awalia, the Mahasiswa Berprestasi of Universitas Gadjah Mada, highlights the increasing of greenhouse gasses (GHG) impacted by the fossil energy sector. The energy sector is projected to increase to over 50 percent of total emissions by 2026–2027.

Indonesia has geographical conditions that are very vulnerable to climate change impacts, ranked 97th out of 181 countries in 2020. Moreover, Indonesia's Fossil Energy Emissions and Deforestation become the Top 10 Worst in the World. The increase in emissions is contributed by land conversion, deforestation, and the use of fossil energy, especially coal.

Under the theme “Green Energy Transition: The Future Energy for Indonesia”, Najwa believes in her idea which is called: HIPE (harnessing, Implementing, promoting, and encouraging). As a country with a very diverse biodiversity, we can harness the potential of biomass. In addition by Implementing carbon pricing. Furthermore by Promoting renewable energy. Lastly, by Encouraging public-private partnerships.

In conclusion, I strongly believe by implementing these innovative solutions, Indonesia can reduce significant emissions from fossil fuels, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and promote sustainable development for climate justice.
