Sacramento Perch are great fun to catch and make excellent table fare, pan fried, steamed or in everyone's favorite - fish tacos. Crowley Lake produces some big slabs in the summer and kids love catching these perch one after another all day long.

When the weeds are sparse, dragging jigs along the shallow flats will keep the action coming. Most people jig vertically but we drag jig slowly along the shallow flats to trigger bites. Perch fishing is a great way to keep kids interested in fishing and everyone loves a crunchy panko perch nugget!
