In August 2005, Amanda Jones drove to the Civic Center in Hillsboro, MO. She was 8.5 months pregnant and meeting the alleged father of her unborn baby. Months earlier when Amanda first told him she was pregnant, he denied he was the father and encouraged her to end the pregnancy. They met that August day to discuss his role in the baby’s life, since Amanda was nearing birth. Amanda and her unborn baby were never seen again.
