Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a quick look at the JR Products rubber socket. This is going to be for the plunger-style door holder from JR Products as well. So, over time, this rubber piece can wear out and not hold your rod piece as effectively, so we can just replace this portion without having to replace the whole kit. Now, the way that this works, normally we'll just have our plunger come in and push into that to hold our door in place. This is that piece, just to give you an idea of what it should look like.

And normally we should have that resistance from that rubber piece to make sure that everything stays in place. So, over time, that's probably going to get a bit worn out, maybe tear or something like that, or rubber does tend to after a while kind of crumble and crack. So, if any of those issues are happening, but you don't want to replace the whole thing, just pop this new guy in there and you should be good to go.It's going to fit right into that original bracket that we had. So, it should look something like this, just pop that guy in there, and that's all there really is to it. For those of you who want to have the specific dimensions, I'll go ahead and measure this guy.

It's about an inch and three quarter in diameter. And then from top to bottom, it's about an inch and an eighth tall or an inch and an eighth deep.
