A chilling terror plot aimed at a Jewish community centre in New York City has been foiled by U.S. authorities.

Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a 20-year-old Pakistani national, was extradited to the United States on June 10, 2025, charged with planning an ISIS-inspired mass shooting potentially the deadliest attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Behind the guise of a student visa in Canada, Khan spread radical propaganda and coordinated with U.S. undercover agents to prepare an assault involving assault rifles, tactical gear, and nearly 900 rounds of ammunition. His targeted attack on a Brooklyn Jewish centre was stopped just in time by the FBI and law enforcement.
