Here are photos and video of a ride on R11 8013 from Kings Highway to Brighton Beach on the Q line. Today was day one of the Parade of Trains event sponsored by the New York Transit Museum in which from 11:00am to 4:00pm, you can ride on one of three vintage trains (The BMT Standards, BU Gate Cars, and the Train of Many Metals were the vintage trains) from Brighton Beach to Kings Highway. If you didn't get your photos and rides today, you have another chance tomorrow! R11 8013 was part of the Train of Many Metals along with R16 6387 painted in the 1980s olive green scheme, R32s 3360 and 3361 in the original 1964 scheme, with rollsigns, express and local signs, blue pantograph gates and blue doors and R10s 3184 and 3189 (3184 is painted in the 1948 grey and orange color scheme and 3189 is painted in the 1964 World's Fair blue and white color scheme)!
