We were biting our nails for the last day- a tropical storm had ruined yesterday. Michelle and I had plans to go on a snorkeling tour of the Mamanuca Islands that was canceled due to high winds. We were extremely relieved to find our ferry to the Yasawas was still running on time for today. We booked a trip on the Yasawa Flyer to take us to Paradise Cove Resort on Naukacuvu Island located about midway through the Yasawa Island chain.
The Yasawa Flyer is a large catamaran similar to the panther that took us to Malamala Beach Club two days prior. For how rough the seas were, the Flyer was very smooth and relaxing. There is a snack bar on board that serves Beer, soda and baked goods along with some candies. If you need some fresh air, you can hang out on the front of the boat and soak in the views of the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands you pass along the way. We found the ferry was very cost affective as opposed to chartering a helicopter.
After about a two hour ride on The Yasawa Flyer we were ferried from the catamaran by Paradise Cove Resort's dive boat to the main area of the resort were we had a short orientation. As soon as we obtained the keys to our bungalow, I snuck off to fly my drone. I was glad the weather calmed down quite a bit and I had an awesome drone flight. Once I returned to the bungalow, Michelle and I donned our swimsuits and went for our first snorkel at Paradise Cove. After a beautiful snorkel, we got dressed up and went on a resort activity called Sunset Drink.
Sunset Drink is located at Paradise Cove's mountain lookout at sunset. We thought we were going to have to hike through the jungle to get there. Turns out the manager of the resort offered to drive us in the back of his pick-up truck, oh boy was that fun! I brought my drone and had an awesome sunset flight before having an ice cold Fiji Bitter. The lookout deck offered a romantic view of the sunset and an awesome place to take pictures. I think we got a little too relaxed because before long we realized we had dinner arrangements we were almost late for. Luckily for us the Hotel Manager gave us a ride back to the resort just in time.
The fancy Fijian Japanese Fusion Restaurant Experience named "Donu - Tapas and Omakase" was very much so worth the rush back down the mountain. Donu's Omakase consisted of nine small plates of fresh fusion food. Every plate was phenomenally delicious and five stars for sure. The coolest thing is the restaurant was included in our meal plan at the resort. I found myself taking pictures of every plate before I could even think of eating them (except for the first one, I was hungry lol)
After a jammed packed day of traveling, snorkeling, drone flying and fancy experiences, Michelle and I were wiped and headed back to our bungalow for the night.

Thank You for Watching/Reading
