Embark on an emotional journey with us as we delve into the heart of the abandoned village of Khoja Khet in Pithoragarh district, a place where the memories of a community linger in the silent walls. In this overnight camping adventure, we experienced the echoes of migration, a village left behind, yet still alive with the whispers of its past.

🏡 Deserted Abodes: The village, once teeming with life, now stands deserted, the abandoned houses bearing witness to the pain of migration. Each crumbling wall tells a story, a silent testament to the struggles and sacrifices of those who once called this place home.

🌙 Starry Sojourn: Amidst the shadows of empty homes, we set up camp, collecting wood to cook our meals. The starry night became our companion, the crackling fire casting a warm glow on the old village walls. Under the vast canvas of the night sky, we shared stories, feeling the weight of the silent village around us.

🍲 Soup by the River: Morning brought a different energy as we prepared tea and Maggi before bidding farewell to the abandoned village. Alongside the small mountain stream, near the temple of Mashani Bubu, we paused. The river, witness to the village's solitude, became the backdrop as we prepared soup, connecting with the serenity of the flowing water.
