Boasting 500bhp/ton and mind warping grip, the Hyper Racer X1 is a very light, very fast open wheel racing car. Weighing in at 390kg, the X1 is powered by a Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1340R engine. Factor in the full body ground-effects and the X1 can challenge for lap records.

Looking for the biggest ‘Bang for the Buck’ in motor racing? The Hyper Racer – X1 has been designed as ‘Wash and Race’ vehicle and is ideal for the ‘one man race team’ who wants to race, year in – year out, on a modest budget. The X1 has been designed to be easy to maintain and cheap to repair.

Some racing drivers dream of a fantasy car – a laid back driver becomes the chassis of the vehicle, with four wheels attached to the drivers shoulders and feet and a Grand Prix engine bolted to the drivers back. Four wheels, one engine and a driver. A vehicle that assaults the atmosphere and compresses space and time.

Designers / Engineers Dean and Jon Crooke, say that the Hyper Racer X1 is the real world realisation of that fantasy.

We combine a passion for everything automotive with high quality photographic art.

Our goal was to build a black studio with a 360 degree turntable. A vehicle is introduced to this dark space and then we curate our lighting in a way that allows seamless rotation. The end result is a dark space which contrasts the subject in a unique way allowing us to see the beauty of each vehicle.

Beautifully lit in a studio that absorbs all other light.

Toybox is not just about new showroom cars, it's all vehicles, motorbikes, new, old, with life’s patina.

Finally Toybox is as real as the cars we photograph. Our videos and stills are captured live in camera at 8K, not in a computer montage or render, just old school lighting and photography with a modern twist.
