While this piece was originally composed for the classical piano, it certainly was meant to emulate the sounds of dancing feet, guitar tremelos and cante jondo vocals of the flamenco music that the composer heard on his train journeys throughout Spain.

My wife, Marilyn, helped with all aspects of production, recording, camera work, etc. The audio was mixed at Will Fraser's Tonewood Ranch in Newbury Park, and Will came-up and helped to engineer the live audio recording as well.

I greatly appreciate the help from everyone involved, and especially Pastor Elewaut at the Mission, and Director of Music Charlotte Lansberg, for making it possible.

We used a blumlein pair of hand-built RM-6 ribbon mics spaced 2 feet from the guitar, an A-B pair of AKG C214s at 6 feet and a hand-built and modified Mic-parts S3-87 room mic in omni at 10 feet. The ribbons were 3 dB down from the C214s, and the S3-87 way down in the mix (just enough to add the room). Presonus preamp, no reverb or compression or EQ (except a 60 dB/octave digital rumble filter that I designed and coded).
