Enhancing Commercial Portraits with Boris FX Optics 2024 New Filters - Keeping Great Looking Skin

Boris FX Optics 2024 has added more effects, filters, and presets for image enhancement and photo manipulation. In this video, Ben Brownlee introduces some of these exciting new updates as he works through enhancing a stylized commercial portrait. Here are some of the filters he uses...

• Magic Sharp, a GPU-accelerated tool for improving texture and contrast in images. He demonstrates its effectiveness on clothing and explains its various parameters. You'll also learn why to be careful using it on skin, and how to avoid ugly results.

• Beauty Studio, which is designed for skin smoothing while also preserving natural details. Avoid the overprocessed look with a few quick tips. Keep skin looking natural.

•Prism S_PrismLens, which adds a unique, stylized look to images. Create the feel of shooting through glass filters, or add a beautifully controlled chromatic aberration effect.

• Smoke and Fog goes beyond just adding smoke and fog. In this tip, Ben adds a Glitter Sweep, which provides dynamic, time-based elements to images. Ben demonstrates how to apply and customize these effects to create captivating visuals.

These are then tied together with Optics' film simulation effects and the digital grain simulation effect S_UltraGrain to finish up the image. This is just a sampling of the over 180 filters available inside Boris FX Optics 2024.

Boris FX Optics 2024 is available now as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, as well as a standalone application for macOS and Windows.
