Illustrated Travel Journal

Let me show you my illustrated travel journal. This was the project that I worked on while on a recent caravan trip with my family. It was a very fun and surprisingly satisfying creative outlet during our travels.

In this video, I share why I made the journal, the process I went through to plan and illustrate each page, plus the tools and materials I used.

Tools and materials used:

Journal: Winsor & Newton A5 visual journal, watercolour 300gsm
Mechanical pencil; Staedtler mars micro 0.5mm (2B lead)
Kneadable eraser: Faber-Castell
Fine line markers: Copic multiliner SP sizes: 0.3, 0.03, 0.05
Brush: Winsor & Newton series 7, size 2
Watercolour paints: Winsor & Newton travel set. I have replaced the paint pans that came in the original set with my favourite artist-quality colours. I work with a range of select primary colours so I can mix most of my own colours as needed.
