Nice work, Antoine! A large male seal dozes peacefully in the mid-afternoon sun, possibly digesting a fat fish breakfast. He has no idea that he’s being watched by a rescuer. Two tight loops of fishing line are digging into his neck. It's a double the entanglement, meaning double the threat.
As always, rescuer Antoine moves fast and clean. Both loops are cut before the seal can even react.
Maybe he’s a familiar face? Either way, we enjoy a rescue that ends without panic, fear, or pain.
But it started, as always, with plastic. And it ends with the same question: how long until we stop putting it there?
