In what could be a world first the 2024 Velocette Owners Club of Australia had 4 consecutive numbered ( engine) Sportsman participants. Considering only 44 were made in 1969 with 40 coming to Australia via importers Burling and Simmons of Parramatta Road Sydney NSW it is believed this could be the first time 4 consecutive numbered bikes have been together outside of the original importation. Two had rear set foot rests while the other two had the forward pegs. Both were options from the factory. Interestingly one has been retrospectively fitted with an electric start.
