Pakoras are great as a snack with tea or on a rainy day. This is a basic recipe for vegetable pakoras.


2 cups besan ( chickpea flour)
2 medium onions
3 medium tomatoes
2 - 3 green chilies
1 medium potato
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 tablespoons chili flakes
Salt to taste ( I added 1 teaspoon)
1 tablespoons coriander powder( crushed)
1/2 garam masala
1/2 teaspoon ajwain (carom seed)
1 teaspoon zeera (cumin seed)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
